Supported Adults
Farming For All are specialist providers of outdoor experiences for vulnerable adults and young people. We have extensive experience of working with organisations that support vulnerable clients and the placement of a client on to one of our activities is normally though a referral from such organisations.
Our staff have the experience and skills to work with vulnerable individuals who often have a range of barriers to inclusion including learning difficulties, mental or physical health problems, offending histories, educational exclusion, homelessness and alcohol or substance issues. Our managed outdoor activities enable participants of any ability to experience nature related activities in a supportive framework that is designed to engage and inspire.
Referring organisations can
be any statutory and non-statutory service provider, charity or support
organisations whose vulnerable clients would benefit from our services.
Experiences in the outdoors have been shown to benefit those experiencing social or educational exclusion, learning difficulties, mental health issues or those recovering from drug addiction.
Research from the University of Essex and the mental health charity, MIND demonstrates that outdoor activities offer significant benefits in physical and mental health.
Our activities can act as meaningful occupation and diversionary activities for unhealthy and anti-social lifestyles, engagement with others in the local community and a chance to develop social and personal skills such as group work, communication and as well as practical skills.
